How to Download Subtitles

Please make sure the original video has subtitles, and you open the downloaded files with VLC Media Player. Many default players, such as Windows Media or QuickTime Player, rarely work with subtitles.

4K Video Downloader+ allows getting subtitles in two ways: as a separate .srt file that comes with the video and downloading videos with embedded subtitles.

If you need Embedded subtitles:

1) Run the app, click Tools>Preferences>Advanced, find there the option “Embed subtitles if possible” and enable it.

2) Copy the link of a video with subtitles, and paste it into the app, and you will get a download video window. Toggle the Subtitles section. Pick one or multiple languages from the list.

If you use Smart Mode, you can also choose to download subtitles.

3) Open the video with VLC Media Player. At the top bar menu, you will find Subtitle. Click it to enable subtitles.

4) Enjoy subtitles.
